About This Spot
Stepping into Twenty Below Coffee Co. in Moorhead feels a bit like finding a quiet corner of warmth on a chilly day. The light hum of conversation mingles with the rich aroma of freshly brewed coffee, creating an inviting atmosphere that’s both lively and intimate. Whether you’re here early with a laptop or settling in for a laid-back weekend brunch, the rhythm of the space encourages moments of calm and connection amid your busy day.
This cozy café embraces its role as a neighborhood refuge where the pace slows just enough to savor more than your cup of coffee. It’s a spot where the comfort of familiar faces blends with the subtle excitement of discovering thoughtfully crafted drinks and treats. Here, a vanilla latte or a meticulously poured Chemex becomes less about caffeine and more about quiet pleasure—complimented perfectly by the soft crumb of a cinnamon roll or a flaky chocolate croissant, each bite feeling deliberately homemade and heartfelt.
The balance of communal energy and peaceful corners makes it a favored place for students, locals, and weekend wanderers alike. It’s common to find someone deeply focused on work, a couple sharing slow conversation over avocado toast, or friends drawn together by housemade sodas and artful espresso drinks. The environment feels accessible and genuine—a little nook that welcomes everyone with an easygoing spirit.
Subtle details underscore the thoughtful character of Twenty Below: the gentle art in each latte’s surface, the care taken in steeping Rishi loose leaf teas right, or the quiet pleasure of choosing between a nitro cold brew or a warming London Fog. This is a place where simple, honest flavors are treated with a respectful craft, inviting guests to linger just a little longer.
Twenty Below Coffee Co. isn’t just about a great cup or a bite to eat. It’s about the human moments in between—the shared smiles, the familiar greetings, and the small rituals that turn a café into a cherished local spot. I always love coming to Twenty Below whenever I can, especially as a college student and wanting a cozy cafe setting to study! The coffee is amazing especially the caramel lattes, and the latte art quality is perfection :) I love the homemade cinnamon rolls as well. As a former barista and through a customer perspective, I can understand other people’s frustrations with the price increases, but i understand the economy is ever changing and staff deserve good pay. New staff also needs some kindness and grace from customers as well with wait times and such :) Either way, I’ll always come in!

Good coffee worth the drive from Minot to Moorhead! Hope to come back next time to get more coffee!

20 Below a go to coffee shop, especially if I’m looking for a place I can chill in for a while. The location is great, the coffee is delicious, the pastries are yummy, and I can usually find an outlet. During the school year it can get busy, so be strategic about timing if you want to get a table, but if it wasn’t a great spot it wouldn’t be busy. Definitely recommend!

What a cool place to have in Moorhead! This environment is set for everyone! The food is amazing and the quality is unbelievable! My husband and I love going there for a weekend coffee date. Keep up the great work!

My husband and I came here on a Saturday in mid-December. We got coffees and avocado toast. Prices were about average. The coffee and avacado toast was ok, but the piece of bread was almost too thick. My husband did not like his coffee since it was burnt. It was hard to find a place to sit. The waitress wasn't overly friendly while ringing up our order. May go back to try again.

Came in for a little bite and coffee while studying for my new job. Not only is this an ideal study spot with a multitude of plug ins for your devices, but the service and staff are amazing at what they do. Super friendly, I tried the “barista choice” for a drink, she asked a few questions and I cannot say how much I love what was made! Definitely worth it! Highly recommend! And to top it off, if this isn’t enough already, they use eco friendly silverware! I wish more places did this instead of plastic!

Coffee shops are my favorite businesses to review, especially when they are top-notch. 20 Below Coffee is definitely that. Not only do they offer both single origin and blends, they also offer multiple brew methods. I chose a honey processed Costa Rican coffee brewed pour over style in a Chemex. It was artfully brewed and tasted excellent. In addition, I treated myself to one of their cinnamon rolls. It tasted great, and did not disappoint. I appreciated the wooden tableware as opposed to the “forever plastic” spoons, knives, and forks served at so many places. The overall vibe of the shop was very welcoming, whether one was knitting, studying, catching up with an old friend, or treating the kids to tasty baked treats. If you are a person who appreciates coffee shops that prioritize coffee, I highly recommend 20 Below.
